Research Interests
I work on mathematical modeling of memory with Dr Simon Dennis at the Dept of Psychology, OSU. I'm currently interested in "context" and how people organize their episodic memories.
A strong interest in music cognition is what brought me to the Cognitive and Systematic Musicology Lab. I've begun working on a project with Dr Huron, examining auditory vs visual modality differences in affective display and the relationship to expressed affect in music.
Interests that are remnants from my undergraduate work are: music information retrieval (and the applications of techniques like the multifractal analysis to such problems), musical preferences, etc. Recent interests are related to the role of context in memory for music.
